It's not that I have anything against blogging. Far from it. I just have never before envisioned it as part of my life.
But my husband, Kris, has convinced me that keeping a regular blog will help me with my writing. As usual, he is probably right.
And I have other reasons to give this new interest a try. For I find, in this season of my life, that I have so many tremendous blessings, and I would like to share them with my family and friends. One of the largest and most recent blessings is the son that my husband and I are expecting in October. Our first child, our not-yet named baby boy has a due date of Oct. 19. This is such an exciting and amazing time in our lives, I want others to share in our emotions and be able to receive updates on our growing family.
I also expect to write a lot about our two Basenjis, Tanis and Thor, who are a continued source of entertainment and love for us. For those of you who don't know about Basenjis, they are a fascinating breed that always keep you guessing as to what they will do next. I love to talk about them and share how they make me laugh.
I am also looking forward to sharing a little about my writing and photography work. As a freelance journalist and wedding photographer, I run my own hectic schedule. And somewhere among all that, I am attempting to write and publish my first children's book, a dream I have had since I was a child.
So, in short, this blog will be an open book to my life. If you chose to follow me in my blogging journey, I hope that you enjoy it.
